Body Armor Overview

The Defend-X® Life Saver Hard Armor is the ultimate form of personal ballistic protection available today. Designed to fit most standard carrier harnesses, the company's hard armor increases the wearer's protection against blunt trauma injuries. Blunt Trauma injuries are caused by the impact forces of a bullet against body armor, resulting in non-penetrating internal injuries, such as bruises, broken ribs, or damage to internal organs. DTI's patented process allows the hard armor to be customized to meet the users' requirements or specifications.

Defend-X® Life Saver Hard Armor plates are designed to defeat multiple rounds within the plate matrix. The intent of the hard armor system is that the user has the ability to adjust the system to the level of threat deemed appropriate for operations. Most veteran users of the system prefer the maximum level of protection versus risking the unknown when moving into a threat environment. DefensTech anticipates this need as one that will generate positive feedback, demand, and sales for the Defend-X® Hard Armor Plates.

NIJ Certifications:

DefensTech International, Inc. participates in the voluntary National Institute of Justice certification and rating system for body armor (NIJ Standard 0101.04 and the interim 0101.05). The Defend-X® Hard Armor Plate models listed below have successfully passed independent government laboratory testing and have satisfied the prescribed requirements of NIJ Standard-0101.04 (as incorporated by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) 2005 Interim Requirements for Bullet-Resistant Body Armor). Current regulations mandate NIJ Certification as a prerequisite to body armor acquisition.
