Developed by DefensTech® International Inc., this remarkable new technology allows ballistic resistant protection for vehicles that is stronger and lighter than ever before. Defend-X® ballistic resistant vehicle door panels can be installed easily in existing vehicles as well as during the manufacturing process. Our Level III-A ballistic resistant vehicle door panels are less than 1/2" thick and add less than 20 lbs per door.

Before Defend-X® ballistic resistance technology became available, armoring law enforcement vehicles was impractical and unaffordable. The excessive weight required an upgraded suspension and power train which substantially decreased the life of the vehicle's transmission and reduced gas mileage.

State and local government agencies may apply for federal funding of Defend-X® ballistic resistant vehicle door panels through the Bureau of Justice Affairs Local Law Enforcement Block Grants. Information on these grants is available upon request.
